Taurus:
Apr 20 - May 20
Ruled by Venus, Taurus golfers are methodical and
tenacious, possessing the ability to focus energy toward the realization
of their goals. A tendency to be a bit stubborn works in their
favor as they are persistent and get things done. On the course
they almost never give up and the game isn't over till the last
putt drops. They take special pleasure in luxurious surroundings
and places, love to travel and usually seek the best places to
play. Due to their powers of endurance, Taurus golfers make proficient
practicers and you will find them on the lesson tee more often
than not. Sometimes they would rather beat balls than play! Slow,
careful and deliberate, the Taurus golfer does not like change
and may be playing the same irons they so carefully purchased,
(custom-fitted of course!) years ago. They eventually must learn
the difference between caution and plain stubbornness in order
to keep up with technology if they aspire to more distance and
control.
Taurus
golfers, including touring professionals Hal Sutton, Stuart Appleby,
Stewart Cink and Jim Furyk, all test their mettle against a course designers
best efforts to thwart them. The great players find a way to overcome
obstacles placed in their way by those who think they are being defeated
by technology. The desire to win is strong in all Taurans. Taurus displays
the Earth sign which is significant for golfers because of the arena
in which the game is played, outdoors, in a setting that reflects life
in many forms. They prefer courses that allow the natural terrain to
define their shots rather than a manufactured landscape. As the 2nd
sign of the Zodiac, Taurus' lucky numbers are four digits and come in
combinations divisible by two. Unexplainably, Taurus golfers are known
to record significantly more eagles on par 4 holes than any other sign.
The TAURUS Fore!Cast
Thanks to connections in your professional life you will have
more opportunities to play a variety of courses this season. Corporate
golf may be part of your life and playing well can benefit you.
A Taurus is down-to-earth, warm and gregarious and a welcome addition
to any foursome, so don't be surprised if the boss picks you to
entertain some valuable clients.
As Venus moves into a new orbit and aligns perfectly with your
sign sometime around June the stars indicate the arrival of a
new club (putter?) or possibly a new set of irons,
either as a gift or as a personal investment. With some new sticks
(at last!) and the confidence of the Tauran personality the signs
all point to some memorable rounds this season. The drawback to
this orbital influence could be a tendency to push the tee shot
right as there is some celestial influence on your sign that indicates
a period where this may occur. Work with a pro to develop a right-to-left
ball flight to compensate for this so you can call it up when
you need it.
This is an important year for your golf game. Be wary of "locking
horns" on the course with another Taurus, especially if hard
cash is involved. Work on your course management techniques, know
when to charge, when to lay back and attack each hole with confidence.
Taurus' lucky number is 4 and this year might be a good time to
start planning that 2004 pilgrimage to the Home of Golf, St
Andrews, Scotland
- if you haven't done it already.
